I'm just going to come out and say my first thoughts on this project. Straight up, this is Weezer if they kept to their Blue Album roots and stayed on that trajectory to 2017. This is very much a high compliment. Everything that you may have liked about early Weezer is here: wonderful power pop guitars, that nerd like aesthetic, and witty humor. Oh, and did I mention guitar solos!? I love this album beginning to end, except the Booger song, that one was a little too on the nose for me (see my pun there?).
